What is Barcamp?
Real Estate Barcamp is not a Conference – it’s a Community
Real Estate Barcamp is often referred to as an “Un-Conference” but it’s really more like a “Community” of like minded professionals talking about how technology, social networks and social media affect the way we are doing business in 2010 and beyond.
We are pleased to have the opportunity to kick off the California Association of Realtors Expo event with this Real Estate Barcamp at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Real Estate Barcamp is a FREE event for Attendees because of great sponsors!
How you will learn at Real Estate Barcamp
There is no pre-determined schedule of presentations at a Barcamp. The topics of discussion are requested by attendees and sessions are led by attendees with experience in the chosen topic.
Many of the sessions you will find have been popular topics for the last few years like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Video, Blogging and Mobile technology.
You will also hear many great marketing strategies shared as we are all a part of an evolving state of constant learning.
Why you will learn at Real Estate Barcamp
Barcamp is not a place where you show up, take notes, then go home and try to remember what you heard.
You will have an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with thought leaders in the Real Estate space that are constantly experimenting and innovating and willing to share with the community.
Be prepared to take away not only great ideas, but more importantly new relationships with an extended network of like minded individuals.
How you can get the most from your Real Estate Barcamp Experience
This is the easy part. Show up. Have an open mind. Make new friends. It really is that simple.
Nate Ellis organized Real Estate Barcamp East Bay in May of this year and shot this great video to tell others about the spirit of Barcamp.
